Relapse of the disease

It is possible that, despite the best possible surgical and chemotherapeutic treatment, patients suffer a relapse (reappearance of the disease). After detailed discussion and consultation, these patients either undergo another surgery or receive chemotherapy again. This chemotherapy may contain different chemotherapeutic substances than the first chemotherapy.

Best possible treatment needed!

The aim of the treating physician is to offer the particular patient the best possible individual treatment which also includes the latest international developments and research results. Therefore, it is all the more important that patients participate in clinical trials, in order to acquire more knowledge and thereby improve the treatment options for ovarian cancer patients.
